Great Google capitulated. :/

Do you know something about his life after leaving to France in 1937?

Some rumour said Erich Überlacker worked in Citroen’s Buerau d’Etude in late 30s around future 2CV project.

He couldn’t survive wartime, as German Jew, I’m afraid. :(

Such genius engineer and designer should brighten after Second War somewhere.

(I write here, sorry, because forum's part ".com" is silent :P)

Hi,

Erich Übelacker was working at Borgward after the war. Idoubt that he was jew. He developed a futuristic large car with two large fins. This prototype had an accident and was scraped.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Great thing!

It must be this car - Borgward-Traumwagen with aluminium body and boxer 6-cylinder engine.

I walked this way and found his biography on site:

(Sorry, folks. Forum's system blocks me complete URL)

Great thanks!
